The Friedrichs Funeral Home has been located in Mount Prospect since 1958, but our history in the funeral service goes back over 100 years spanning 4 generations. We pride ourselves in making sure all details, no matter how small, are taken care of thoroughly with a great amount of personal attention. We are family owned and operated which allows us to keep our costs low and assures those we serve that they will always see a familiar face.

At Friedrichs Funeral Home we strive to make sure all families are satisfied with the services we provide. It is also important to us that you feel comfortable with your funeral costs. We are upfront and fair when discussing funeral home charges and attribute some of our success to this openness. Below is an abbreviated version of our General Price List*

*Traditional Service* Below is an abbreviated version of our General Price List*. This list describes the charges for a "Traditional Funeral".		Non-traditional services If you do not desire a Traditional Service...a few of the many examples of "non-traditional" services are listed below.
Basic Services of Funeral Home & Staff	$1745	1 hour of visitation prior to service and precession to cemetery	$3720
Embalming	$ 575	1 hour visitation prior to service followed by cremation (no procession)	$3510
Other Preparation of Remains	$ 165
Facilities and/or Staff for Visitation	$ 575	5 hours visitation concluding with service (usually with cremation, no procession)	$3660
Facilities and/or Staff for Funeral Service	$ 325
Staff For Cemetery Service	$ 100	Direct Cremation (No viewing or services)	$1295
Transfer of Remains to Funeral Home	$ 325	Memorial Service after direct cremation only for families whose cremation service we handled

The above figures detail the funeral home charges for a "Traditional" service...viewing with 1 day visitation, service next day and hearse to cemetery..		All above services with visitations include embalming, however embalming is not required by law.
There may be additional charges associated with the above mentioned services. Items such as casket, outer burial container, urn, death certificates, cemetery or crematory charges, newspapers notices, etc. Please call, stop-in or email us so that we can give you an exact funeral cost.
